Bern, 4 July 2025 – Swiss Taekwondo is pleased to announce that five promising young athletes will represent Switzerland at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) 2025 in Skopje, North Macedonia.
The selection was made by the Kyorugi Sports Department of Swiss Taekwondo based on clearly defined performance standards and was officially confirmed by Swiss Olympic. All nominated athletes are part of the Swiss Taekwondo Performance HUB and have earned their place at this major sporting event through impressive performances.
The Taekwondo competitions will take place from 23 to 25 July 2025. Representing Switzerland:
- Pauline Luyet (17, Taekwondo Bern), competing in –49 kg
- Sophie Lewis (15, Taekwondo Winterthur), competing in –55 kg
- Dionis Memeti (17, Taekwondo Winterthur), competing in –63 kg
- Sofija Zivkovic (15, Grand Sport Academy Winterthur), competing in +63 kg
- Davud Güllü (15, Taekwondo Wattwil), competing in –73 kg
The EYOF is the most important European multi-sport event for young athletes, offering a unique platform for emerging talent to compete internationally and embrace Olympic values.
