Swiss Taekwondo is the official national federation for Olympic Taekwondo in Switzerland. As a member of World Taekwondo (WT) and Swiss Olympic, and in alignment with Kukkiwon, we are the recognized authority for Taekwondo sport and culture in the country.
Founded on the principles of respect, perseverance, and excellence, Swiss Taekwondo represents clubs, athletes, coaches, and officials from across all regions and linguistic communities in Switzerland.
Our Mission
Swiss Taekwondo is dedicated to:
- Promoting the values and practice of Taekwondo at all levels
- Organizing national championships, seminars, and grading events
- Supporting the development of elite athletes for international competition
- Providing high-quality education for coaches, referees, and examiners
- Upholding ethical standards and inclusivity in all aspects of the sport
Our work extends from grassroots club support to elite sport structures, with a strong focus on youth development, equal opportunity, and lifelong participation.
International Recognition
As a member of World Taekwondo, Taekwondo Europe (ETU), and Swiss Olympic, Swiss Taekwondo represents Switzerland in the global Taekwondo community. Our athletes regularly compete at European and World Championships, Grand Prix events, and multi-sport games.
We also serve as the Swiss affiliate to Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters in South Korea, overseeing the Dan grading system and upholding traditional values within a modern sport framework.
