🥈 Sofija Zivkovic (Grand Sports Academy)
🥈 Lion Simic (Grand Sports Academy)
🥉 Medina Zejneli (Taekwondo Riviera)
🥉 Dionis Memeti (Kim Taekwondo)
They returned from Hamburg with an impressive overall result. National coach Peer Steinkellner expressed his satisfaction: “The Swiss Team delivered! For such a highly competitive international tournament, we performed strongly.”
As a G2 World Ranking event, the German Open is an important fixture in the international taekwondo calendar. This year's edition held special significance as it served as the "ideal preparation for the upcoming World Championships in China", according to the organisers.
Sanctioned by World Taekwondo and supported by the European Taekwondo Union, the event brought together athletes from numerous nations, offering them the chance to compete at a high level. For Switzerland, the strong medal tally is clear evidence that the youth development programme of Swiss Taekwondo is on the right path, clearly aiming for the top.
